Interns and studio assistants are a vital part of every successful recording studio. You allow the producer or engineer to focus on the music by taking other tasks off their plate. The fast pace of a real studio is also the ideal way to learn and refine the skills you are being taught at ACM, in addition to skills that may not be covered in school. You’ll learn (and do) recording, editing, comping, mix prep, vocal tuning, and much more. We keep a relaxed environment at 33rd Street Studio and look for interns that will fit in well.
Interns at 33rd Street Studio are the first considered for any open staff engineer positions at the end of their internship, and many past interns have become paid staff members.
Our ideal intern looks like this:
Basic Pro Tools skills
Wants to become an engineer, producer, or mixer
Wants to work in a recording studio
Calm when having to figure out new things
